What is WATSU®
Watsu ® is one of the most innovative wellness arts practiced in water at body temperature which combines the benefits of an ancient oriental practice, such as Shiatsu , with the virtues of hot water.
The body is gently supported in floating , thus creating a deep state of abandonment and relaxation. In an alternation of stillness and movement , a sort of harmonious dance is created where stretches follow swings, and free movements can emerge from the deepest spaces of the system.
It was born from an intuition of Harold Dull in the early 80s after learning the techniques of Zen Shiatsu in Japan from Master Shizuto Masunaga. Back in California, at the thermal springs of Harbin Hot Spring, Harold tries to combine the techniques learned with the aquatic dimension.
Poetry and research, sensitivity and creativity, being and non-doing merged harmoniously
